This is the Basic Introduction to the Communications Specialisation, it consists of 10 jobs (tasks) to qualify, the end result should be a cadet who is able to complete basic tasks and is aware of the Sub Specialisations (General) and (Tactical) of which they will need to follow, should they wish to progress further. Successful assessment by a Qualified Communications Instructor entitles the cadet to wear the Third Class badge (Bolt and Wings, no starts) and gain 3 advancement points.
